Motion Capture for Oxford VR

Over the last six months I’ve been doing some motion capture and voice work for Oxford VR, a company using virtual reality to treat mental health problems. The company is a spinout from the University of Oxford and has a whole clinical team working behind the scenes.

I play Nic, the therapist who leads patients through the situations they find difficult, and helps them to practise more helpful ways of thinking and behaving. So far, we’ve recorded Fear of Heights and Psychosis, with hopefully more to come in the near future. I’ve found it an incredibly interesting role to play and I’m enjoying using my powers for good!

The picture above shows me in “the suit” at the brilliant Audiomotion Studios in Oxford where we shot Fear of Heights in September 2018.
